PH RECEVIES 1.8M ADDITIONAL PFIZER DOSES FOR KIDS
THE PHILIPPINES received an additional 1.8 million doses of Pfizer vaccine for children aged 5 to 11, the National Task Force Against Covid19 said.
The NTF said the vaccine doses were procured by the government through a loan from the World Bank.
Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. earlier said that 593,708 children aged 5 to 11 have been fully vaccinated against Covid19.
The country kicked off on February 7 the vaccination drive for kids below 11 years old.
Health experts are finalizing the guidelines on the use of Sinovac Covid19 vaccine on children aged 6 to 17.
The government aims to vaccinate more than 39 million youngsters aged 17 and below.
