PH EDUCATIONAL ROADMAP BILL FILED IN HOUSE

/ 19 August 2022

MUNTINLUPA City Lone District Representative Jaime Fresnedi filed a measure that will establish an educational roadmap for the Philippines.

In his House Bill 65 or the proposed Philippine Educational Roadmap Act, Fresnedi explained that roadmaps are blueprints in realizing and actualizing any organization’s respective vision and mission.

“Analogously interpreting it with the commonly followed procedures in policy-making, when a roadmap is directly anchored to our people’s educational needs, it would benefit every Filipino on due consideration with the efficient use of our government resources,” he said in his explanatory note.

The measure seeks to revisit the education situation and establish concrete plans to where the country is headed.

The roadmap will provide policies on global languages, graduate competencies, teacher competencies, capacity building for center of excellence and school-to-work transition.

The bill mandates the creation of the Educational Roadmap National Coordinating Council that will develop and support efforts to elevate Philippine education.
