PH AND US TROOPS HOLD CBRN TRAINING

/ 17 April 2023

PHILIPPINE and US soldiers held Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) training in April 11 during the Balikatan exercise at the 3rd Infantry Division’s (3ID) headquarters in Camp General Macario Peralta Jr. in Jamindan, Capiz.

The training program includes classroom lectures, hands-on exercises and simulations.

There were also discussions on Mission-Oriented Protective Posture and MOPP Gear Exchange. Later, the soldiers held practical exercises applying what they learned.

The CBRN training program aimed to enhance the capabilities of the Philippine military and its allied forces in responding to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.

More than 17,600 Filipino and American soldiers are participating in the 38th Balikatan, the largest iteration of the exercise to date.

The military exercise will help advance military modernization and boost combat readiness and the capability development of troops.
