PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has vowed to advance women’s education, welfare, and economic empowerment under the Bagong Pilipinas campaign.

“We salute Filipino women, past and present, this #InternationalWomensDay. In our Bagong Pilipinas, we prioritize women’s education and economic empowerment. We are committed to ending violence against women and promoting their leadership roles in every sector,” President Marcos said.

“As we make space for women and champion their rights, we will see a world that is not only stronger and more progressive but also deeply rooted in equity and compassion for all,” he further said.

During the celebration of International Women’s Day, Marcos acknowledged the invaluable role of women.

“In an age marked by rapid growth and transformation, the global community must honor the incalculable worth of women’s contributions across all facets of society and sustain the gains that have emerged from their countless struggles and sacrifices,” Marcos said.

The International Women’s Day was celebrated on March 8.
