A YOUTH group in Pasig City, Katipunang Kabataan ng Pineda, placed third in the Sining Bayanihan held online on Saturday.

KKP is a member of the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo that helps the city’s police force in carrying out BARANGAYanihan activities.

Police Station Pineda under the leadership of Colonel Roman Arugay lauded the group led by Evander Clemente Heng for its win.

“I congratulate all the participants of the competition, for the youth of today will be the hope of the future.” Arugay said.

“Sining Bayanihan” had the theme “Kabataan Tayo Mismo: Malikhain at Matapang na Pagtugon sa ano mang Hamon ng Panahon.”

The event aimed to promote youth empowerment, resourcefulness, active citizenry and participation in nation-building, and the Filipino core values of pakikipagkapwa, pagiging maka-Diyos, at mapagmahal sa pamilya.

The KKP was also hailed as the champion in the Short Film Category and 2nd in the Regional Interpretative Dance Category during the KKDAT Sining Bayanihan Contest last August 2021.
