PINAIIMBESTIGAHAN ng Makabayan bloc sa Kamara ang tinawag nilang kahina-hinalang pagtanggal sa mga libro at ilang reading materials sa state university libraries dahil umano sa pagiging subersibo.

Sa kanilang House Resolution 2290, nais nina ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro, Gabriela Women’s Partylist Rep. Arlene Brosas, Kabataan Partylist Rep. Sarah Jane Elago at Bayan Muna Partylist Reps . Eufemia Cullamat, Carlos Isagani Zarate at Ferdinand Gaite na magsagawa ng joint hearing ang Committees on Human Rights at Higher and Technical Education.

Nakasaad sa resolution ang ginawang pag-inspeksiyon ng mga pulis at sundalo sa library ng Kalinga State University at saka kinumpiska ang mga sinasabing subersibong libro at dokumento.

Ipinag-utos naman ni Ricmar Aquino, presidente ng Isabela State University, ang ban sa mga sinasabing  communist books sa kanilang library at itinurnover sa National Intelligence Coordinating Agency.

Maging ang Aklan State University ay nag-surrender din ng mga sinasabing subersibong libro at materyales sa Aklan 37 Police Provincial Office.

Binigyang-diin ng mga kongresista sa resolution na ang mga libro at dokumento ay may kinalaman sa peace negotiations ng gobyerno at ng National Democratic Front.

Iginiit nila  na ang pagtanggal sa mga ito sa mga aklatan ay pakana ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.

Kabilang sa naturang mga libro at dokumento ang GRP-NDFP Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, Declaration of Understanding, NDFP Declaration and Program of Action for the Rights, Protection, and Welfare of Children, GRP-NDFP Peace Negotiations, Major Arguments and Joint Statements for Sept. 1, 1980-June 2018, GRP-NDFP Peace Negotiations Major Written Agreements and Outstanding Issues, NDF Adherence to International Humanitarian Law: Letters to the International, Committee of the Red Cross and the UN Secretary General, NDFP Adherence to International Humanitarian Law: On Prisoners of War, Two articles on the People’s Struggles for Just Peace, at The NDFP Reciprocal Working Committee Perspectives on Social and Economic Reforms.
