PAGBUHAY SA KASO NI TEACHER RONNEL PAMBU-BULLY — ACT
KINONDENA ni ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro ang pagbuhay ng National Bureau of Investigation sa kasong inciting to sedition laban kay Teacher Ronnel Mas.
Matatandaang noong Mayo, inaresto si Mas dahil sa post nito sa Facebook na, “I will give P50 million reward kung sino makakapatay kay Duterte.”
“We vehemently condemn the continuing bullying by the National Bureau of Investigation against Teacher Ronnel Mas whose charges of violation of Article 142 of the Revised Penal Code have been dismissed by Regional Trial Court Branch 72 of Olongapo City,” pahayag ni Castro.
“The NBI filed again a complaint for inciting to sedition against teacher Ronnel Mas. The prosecutor found cause to proceed against Mas not for inciting to sedition but for ‘cybercrime and violation of RA 6713,” dagdag ng kongresista.
“This is a continuation of the Duterte administration’s attacks on free speech and the state’s effort to censor the people especially those brave enough to speak out against the incompetence and negligence of this government amid the pandemic,” paliwanag pa ng lady solon.
Tinawag pa ni Castro na ‘double standard’ at hindi pagsunod sa due process ang pagbuhay sa kaso ni Mas na iginiit nitong dapat agad ibasura.
“We will continue to fight with teacher Ronnel Mas. Attacks on the freedom of speech and basic human rights must stop. The attempts of the tyrannical rule of the Duterte administration to silence its critics and dissenters will never succeed,” pagtitiyak pa ni Castro.
