KASUNOD ng pag-aptuba ng Food and Drugs Administration sa Moderna Covid19 vaccine para sa teenagers, muling nanawagan si Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri na simulan na ang pagbabakuna sa mga 12-17 anyos.

“We want to thank FDA Chief Eric Domingo for their quick action in giving emergency use approval for the Moderna vaccine on kids aged 12 to 17,” pahayag ni Zubiri.

Sinabi ni Zubiri na sa ngayon, Moderna at Pfizer na ang maaaring gamiting bakuna sa mga teenager.

“It’s been so terrifying, seeing the newer strains of the virus striking more and more children, so this approval is fantastic news,” sabi ng senador.

Iginiit ng mambabatas na sa pamamagitan ng pagbabakuna ay madaragdagan ng isang layer ang proteksiyon ng mga bata bukod pa sa patuloy na implementasyon ng health protocols.

“Hopefully this move will not just protect our children, but also help us reach herd immunity more quickly,” pagbibigay-diin ni Zubiri.

“My appeal now is for the IATF to allow our children aged 12-17 to get vaccinated. As a parent and for all the parents in our country, we hope they will heed our request,” dagdag pa ng senador.
