IN A CONTINUED show of support for students, Valenzuela City Mayor Wes Gatchalian led the distribution of educational financial assistance to graduating grade school students from public schools across the city.

Guided by City Ordinance No. 551 Series of 2019 and Ordinance No. 1110 Series of 2023, the initiative provides a total of ₱25,317,000 in educational support to elementary and senior high school graduates.

The aid aims to ease the financial burden on students and their families and encourage continued academic success.

“This assistance is not just a reward for your hard work, but a reminder to keep striving and studying hard,” Gatchalian said as he congratulated the student recipients during the distribution event.

The educational assistance program is part of Valenzuela City’s long-standing commitment to accessible and inclusive education, ensuring that young Valenzuelanos are equipped and motivated to pursue further learning.

Officials emphasized that the initiative underscores the city’s vision of investing in its youth, believing that empowering the next generation through education will lead to a stronger and more progressive community.
