OVER 800 STUDENTS RECEIVE FINANCIAL GRANTS

MORE than 800 students of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Training Work Scholarship Gingoog City have received P3,000 each in cash assistance through the efforts of Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez, and Tingog Partylist.

The financial grants to students were part of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The payout was witnessed by Deputy Secretary-General Sofonias Gabonada Jr who represented Speaker Romualdez.

It was given during the 19th Commencement Exercises of the Lorenz International Skills Training Academy Inc. at the Arturo S. Lugod Memorial Gym in Gingoog City.

Gabonada said that aside from the P3,000 cash aid from DSWD, P15,000 to P18,000 worth of scholarships were also given to them by TESDA.

All of the beneficiaries also received 5 kilos of rice.

Aside from Gabonada, Mayor Erick Cañosa, TESDA X Regional Director Dan M. Navarro, LISTA school president Maggie Gudella Z. Tse, and Ms. Karla Estrada of Tingog Party-list also attended the event.
