MORE than 200 graduates from the University of Caloocan City-College of Education passed the September 2023 Licensure Exam for Teachers.

Of the said number, 45 passers were for Elementary level and 161 for the Secondary level.

All first takers of the Elementary Level passed, while an almost 90 percent success rate was achieved by Secondary level first takers, raising the overall passing rate to 84.91 percent and 72.20 percent, respectively, well-above the national average for both tests.

City Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan expressed his pride and admiration to the new UCC teachers and encouraged them to help the city government in continuously improving the quality of education in the city.

“Congratulations sa lahat ng mga bagong guro mula sa UCC! Patuloy lang ang suporta sa inyo ng pamahalaang lungsod sa propesyong inyong tatahakin. Kasama ang buong Caloocan, ipinagmamalaki ko kayong lahat,” the mayor said.

“Ngayong kayo ay mga ganap nang guro, sana ay matulungan din ninyo ang mga kapwa niyo Batang Kankaloo. Tiwala ako sa inyong kakayahan na makatulong sa ating mga layunin para sa pag-aaral ng mga kabataan sa lungsod. Bukas po ang ating mga pampublikong paaralan para sa inyo,” he declared.
