OVER 1,000 SCHOOLS TO POSTPONE SCHOOL OPENING

A TOTAL of 1,002 schools will postpone the opening of classes, the Department of Education said Saturday (27 July 2024).

In the National Capital Region, the agency said 225 schools will open after July 29.

Malabon, Pasig, Marikina and Valenzuela schools will all open on August 5. Two schools in Navotas; five in Manila; 13 in San Juan and 15 in Quezon City will open on August 5.

In Region 1, 331 schools will open after July 29 but not later than August 5.

In Region 3, 442 schools will open after July 29. There would be 208 schools in Bataan, 92 in Bulacan, two in Balanga, 20 in Meycauyan, 48 in Malolos, 51 in Pampanga; one in San Jose City, and 20 in Tarlac Province.

Four schools near Liguasan Marsh in Cotabato Province in Region 12 will also open on August 5.
