ONLINE PROGRAM ON MENTAL HEALTH HELPS OZAMIS LEARNERS, TEACHERS
THE DEPARTMENT of Education Ozamiz Division has started holding online sessions on mental development for students, parents and teachers.
Concerned over the behavioral changes among the students and teachers, the school division came up with a platform where members of the community can reconnect.
Online twice-a-week sessions on Learning Advocacy for Mental Development, Awareness and Guidance started in May.
“Teachers are crucial in advancing education amid the pandemic, so we are making sure they receive enough psychological support to help them cope with working on-site and from home. With project LAMDAG, we are turning their anxieties into hope and courage,” DepEd Ozamiz planning officer EII June Abucay said.
Abucay said the program has reached thousands of people in Misamis Occidental.
“We have received a lot of positive feedback from viewers. They love the program because we also cover topics such as Covid19 prevention, cyber safety, child protection, and parenting,” he added.
