THE VICENTE Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) recently inaugurated its new Medical Simulation Center, a cutting-edge facility designed to enhance medical education and training.

Among the distinguished guests was former Senate President Vicente Sotto III, who reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening healthcare and medical education in the country.

During his speech, Sotto highlighted his advocacy for the Mental Health Law and the Doktor para sa Bayan Act, two landmark legislations aimed at improving healthcare accessibility and supporting aspiring medical professionals.

He emphasized the importance of providing advanced training facilities to future doctors to ensure high-quality medical services for all Filipinos.

“The launch of this Medical Simulation Center is a significant step forward in medical education. Through initiatives like the Doktor para sa Bayan Act, we continue to push for programs that provide more opportunities for aspiring doctors, especially those from underserved communities,” Sotto said.

The Medical Simulation Center will serve as a hub for hands-on learning, allowing medical students and healthcare professionals to train using state-of-the-art technology. The facility aligns with national efforts to address gaps in the healthcare workforce and improve patient care.

As the ceremony concluded, Sotto reaffirmed his unwavering support for legislation and programs that promote accessible, high-quality healthcare and medical education for the Filipino people.
