THE NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office supported the proposal to revive the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. in schools.

Lt. Col. Jenny Tecson, spokesperson of the NCRPO, said ROTC will help shape discipline among Filipinos.

“Sa akin naman po dahil ako po ay naranasan ko rin ang mag-join ng ROTC noong ako po’y nag-aaral at masasabi ko po na maganda po ‘yan. Siyempre po ‘yung disiplina po natin… ‘Yung disiplina po natin ay talagang hinuhubog,” Tecson said.

Tecson added that with a mandatory ROTC in place, the government will have more reserve forces.

She urged the youth who criticized the planned revival of ROTC to give it a chance.
