San Juan City on Wednesday, November 10, launched the registration of non-resident minors aged 12 to 17.
Mayor Francis Zamora said the registration is open to all minors who are not studying and living in San Juan.
“Sa mga magulang ng mga kabataang edad 12-17 na hindi taga-San Juan, puwede ninyo na po pabakunahan ang inyong mga anak sa San Juan. I-rehistro niyo lamang sila sa San Juan City Covid19 Vaccine Registration sa ilalim ng #JuanVax,” Zamora said.
He said parents or guardians may register their children at http://bit.ly/39Bi7ri or scan the QR code which can be found in his official Facebook page.
Las Piñas City, on the other hand, aims to inoculate around 6,000 adolescents a day.
Vice Mayor April Aguilar asked the city’s vaccination teams to exert more effort to reach the targeted 65,000 children by the end of November.
Dr. Julie Gonzales, officer-in-charge of the City Health Office, reported that 45,000 minors have registered for the Covid19 jabs.
To increase the vaccination per day, Gonzales said the SM Center in Las Piñas and SM South Mall have increased their recipients to 1,000 daily.
Meanwhile, Manila City has vaccinated more than 37,000 adolescents aged 12 to 17.
The Manila Health Department said that 37,286 minors have received their first dose since pediatric inoculation started on October 22.
The hospitals selected to lead the vaccination are Sta. Ana Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, Gat Andres Bonifacio, Justice Jose Abad Santos, Ospital ng Sampaloc, and Ospital ng Tondo.
The city also tapped the Lucky Chinatown Mall, SM Manila, SM San Lazaro, and Robinsons Place Manila as vaccination sites.
