NAVOTAS LAUNCHES CHILD SAFETY HELPLINE FOR NATIONAL SCHOOLS SAFETY MONTH
IN OBSERVANCE of National Schools Safety Month this July, the City Government of Navotas has launched the MAKABATA Helpline 1383 — a dedicated platform for reporting cases of bullying, abuse, and mental health concerns involving children.
Launched in partnership with the Council for the Welfare of Children, the initiative reflects the city’s strong commitment to creating safer, more child-friendly schools and communities.
“Let us work together to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for both teaching and learning in Navotas,” said Congressman Toby Tiangco, urging residents to support the campaign for safer schools and stronger protection of children’s rights.
Residents are encouraged to watch the city’s official awareness video and take note of the various government offices listed as points of contact for child-related safety concerns.
As part of its broader campaign, the city is also boosting awareness programs and strengthening partnerships among schools, parents, and local authorities to promote student well-being and ensure every Navoteño child grows up in a secure and supportive environment.
This year’s observance of National Schools Safety Month 2025 highlights the critical role of communities in protecting children, especially within school settings.
For child safety concerns, residents may call the MAKABATA Helpline 1383.
