MORE THAN 900K DOSES OF PFIZER VACCINE ALLOCATED FOR MINORS
THE GOVERNMENT will allocate 976,950 doses of Pfizer vaccine for the nationwide rollout of the pediatric vaccination, an official of National Task Force Against Covid19 said.
“More or less 162 hospital and non-hospital based vaccination sites will participate. We expect that more jabs will be given during those days,” vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said.
“We are very thankful that we are successful in our initial pilot rollout for children with comorbidities,” he added.
The government is set to start the vaccination of minors with or without comorbidities on November 3.
Its full implementation is set to begin on Nov. 5.
Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje earlier said that they aim to vaccinate at least 80 percent of 12.7 million children before the end of December.
So far, the government has vaccinated 23,727 minors aged 12 to 17 against the Covid19.
