ISINUSULONG nina ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro at Kabataan Partylist Rep. Sarah Jane Elago ang ilang probisyon sa Bayanihan 3 upang mabigyan ng mas malaking alokasyon ang sektor ng edukasyon.

Sinabi ni Castro na dapat saklawin sa itinutulak na Bayanihan 3 ang pagbibigay ng buwanang internet allowance sa mga guro sa gitna na rin ng ipinatutupad na blended learning.

“A P1,500 monthly internet allowance for 10 months would help our teachers give better quality education for the youth. As prices of goods and basic commodities continue to skyrocket, we call the attention of the Duterte administration to exhaust its all effort and be held accountable to make up for the deficiency in the benefits of teachers,” pahayag ni Castro.

“Including these just demands of teachers in the Bayanihan 3 would mean greater support for education. Continuing to neglect these demands is continuing to neglect our teachers and our education system,” dagdag ng mambabatas.

Samantala, inirekomenda ni Elago ang paglalaan ng kabuuang P10 bilyong pondo sa ilalim ng Bayanihan 3 para sa ayuda sa mga estudyante at guro ngayong pandemya.

Kasama na rito ang pagkakaloob ng P1,500 na mobile data allowance sa mga estudyante at guro.

Sa amendments na isinusulong ni Elago, P5.25 bilyon ang ilalan para sa mga estudyante sa tertiary level habang P4.54 bilyon sa mga estudyante sa basic education at P210 milyon sa college instructors.

Kabilang din sa inirerekomenda ni Elago ang pagpapatupad ng moratorium sa pagtataas ng tuition at iba pang school fees, gayundin ang pag-aalis ng interest sa student loans sa public eductaional institutions.
