THE CITY Government of Manila and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the rehabilitation of sports facilities at Boystown, aimed at expanding sports development opportunities for children and youth in the community.

The agreement was signed at the SM Prime Headquarters by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, PSC Chairman John Patrick “Pato” Gregorio, and Manila Department of Social Welfare Director Jay Dela Fuente.

Under the agreement, Boystown beneficiaries will receive structured sports training to develop their athletic skills and identify promising young talents who may pursue competitive sports.

The rehabilitation project includes the upgrading of the swimming pool and basketball facilities, as well as the provision of sports equipment and training materials through the Larong Saya Sandigan Program.

City officials said the initiative seeks to provide a safe and supportive environment where young residents can participate in sports, improve their physical fitness, and develop discipline and character.

A ceremonial opening of the rehabilitated facilities is scheduled for Sept. 14.
