MANILA MAYOR SUSPENDS CLASSES ON JAN. 9
MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno has suspended both physical and online classes on Friday in celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene.
Moreno also ordered the suspension of work in local government offices in the City of Manila.
Meanwhile, frontline services of the Manila city government—such as those related to peace and order, public services, traffic enforcement, disaster risk reduction and management, and health—will remain operational.
The suspension of work in national government offices and private companies in the City of Manila is left to the discretion of their respective management, the Manila Public Information Office said.
The Feast of the Black Nazarene is celebrated every January 9.
