/ 6 December 2024

MEMBERS of the Sangguniang Kabataan from various barangays of Caloocan City attended a summit on the human immunodeficiency virus conducted by the City Health Department.

The conference focused on disseminating accurate information about HIV, including preventive measures, myth-busting, and potential treatments. It aimed to empower youth leaders to spread awareness within their communities.

Mayor Dale Gonzalo ‘Along’ Malapitan congratulated the CHD for the successful event, highlighting its importance in supplementing existing health programs for those with HIV and emphasizing the city government’s commitment to providing top-notch medical assistance for everyone.

The mayor also acknowledged the need for a safer, more inclusive space for HIV-positive individuals and assured that his administration would continue working with stakeholders to improve ongoing programs addressing the issue.
