LGU FEEDS 700 CHILDREN IN ONGOING NUTRITION PROGRAM

/ 1 June 2025

THE LAS PIÑAS City Nutrition Office continued its citywide feeding initiative under the “Programang Pang-Nutrisyon para sa Las Piñeros,” distributing nutritious meals to around 700 children this week.

Held at the St. Mary Homes covered court in Barangay Almanza Uno, the feeding event featured pork picadillo rice toppings and bottled water.

The activity is part of the city’s effort to support children’s nutritional needs during the school break.

Newly elected Mayor April Aguilar personally joined volunteers and City Nutrition Office staff to help distribute the meals.

With the assistance of local personnel and community leaders, the event was carried out in an orderly manner, ensuring that every child was served.

Aguilar also took the opportunity to speak with children and their families, emphasizing the importance of the program in improving health outcomes at the community level.

“The Programang Pang-Nutrisyon para sa Las Piñeros will continue to be a vital part of our city’s public health strategy,” Aguilar said.

“We are committed to reaching more communities in need and supporting the health and well-being of our children,” she added.

Her presence at the event highlights the administration’s dedication to grassroots nutrition initiatives and direct community engagement as part of broader health and welfare efforts.
