LEB, PCC TEAM UP TO STRENGTHEN STANDARDS OF PH COMPETITION LAW EDUCATION
THE LEGAL Education Board and the Philippine Competition Commission have teamed up to advance competition law education in the Philippines, equipping law students and professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate and enforce competition policies.
LEB and PCC signed Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for the Specialized Academic Track in Competition Law and the Post-Graduate Certificate Program in Competition Law.
“This is not simply the signing of a document, it’s the planting of seeds that will cultivate a generation of legal professionals capable of navigating the complexities of the modern marketplace. We are reshaping the legal landscape. It’s a profound opportunity to show that when institutions unite, meaningful achievements for future generations can be made,” said LEB Chairperson Jason Barlis.
LEB, PCC, and the University of the Philippines College of Law, through its Competition Law and Policy Program, have been collaborating since 2022 to strengthen competition law education and advocacy through programs such as the Moot Court competition and curriculum development.
The newly issued PSGs aim to enhance competition law education in the country by equipping students and professionals with the necessary legal, economic, and regulatory competencies, according to LEB.
