TWO laws establishing a senior high school and an elementary school in Bacoor, Cavite have been signed into law, according to the Presidential Communications Office.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed Republic Act Nos. 12007 and 12008 on June 13.

Republic Act No. 12007 establishes the “Progressive Senior High School” in Progressive Village 3, Brgy. Bayanan while RA No. 12008 creates the “Progressive Elementary School” in Brgy. Molino 2.

The schools will be under the supervision of the Department of Education.

The PCO said that Department of Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio is ordered to immediately include in the department’s program the operationalization of the senior high and elementary schools.

Additionally, she should also formulate the implementing rules and regulations of the two newly signed laws within 90 days of their approval.

The laws will take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette, or a newspaper of general circulation.
