LAWMAKER UNDERSCORES NEED TO PROVIDE QUALITY EDUCATION FOR BRIGHTHER FUTURE
SENATOR Christopher ‘Bong’ Go maintained he will continue to support and develop measures and programs benefitting the country’s education sector, underscoring education is key to a better future.
He made the vow after personally witnessing the turnover and blessing of a new building in Community College of Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental.
The funding for the infrastructure was advocated by Go as Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance.
“Good facilities and good infrastructure can significantly contribute to good school outcomes. This is my own small way of encouraging our Filipino children to study and finish their studies so that they will be productive members of your community in the future,” he added.
In line with the efforts to assist struggling students nationwide, Go and his team provided assistance to 750 students who were present during the event.
Furthermore, the Department of Social Welfare and Development gave away financial assistance to each indigent student.
Go also reminded the youth to remain focused on their studies.
