KABATAAN Party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel urged the graduates of SPED-Integrated School for Exceptional Children in Iloilo City to help change the world for the better.

Manuel was the guest speaker during the graduation ceremony in his alma mater.

“Changing yourself and changing the world go hand in hand. It is not a matter of which comes first. So if you want to help others, go ahead. If you want to change the things around you for the better, go ahead,” he told the graduates.

“In the process, you will also be changing yourself because change does not only come from within ourselves,” he said.

The lawmaker said change for the better can be seen in simple things such as listening to other people’s stories and experiencing their realities.

“We don’t have to wait to be perfect humans with zero inhibitions before we try to influence others to do good,” he said.
