SENATOR Imee Marcos encouraged students to pursue their education despite difficulties to realize their ambitions.

“The youth are the leaders of the community today, not in the distant future,” Marcos said.

She added that calamities should not hinder the youth’s education.

The senator made the statement as she expressed support for the Makabasa Latta educational support program of Mountain Province.

She personally distributed educational assistance to 1,000 students whose families were affected by Typhoon Egay at the Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School.

Each beneficiary received P5,000.
