ISRAELI EMBASSY BACKS BRIGADA ESKWELA

/ 19 August 2023

THE ISRAEL Embassy in the Philippines showed its support to the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela by helping prepare the Bagong Tanyag Elementary School in Taguig City for the school opening.

The embassy transformed a vacant space in the school into a mini library called Jerusalem Learning Resource Center.

The learning center will be fully furnished and will have televisions, wall fans, and water dispensers supplied by the Embassy before the start of the school year.

“With unwavering dedication, the Embassy’s staff invests considerable time and effort into actively participating in this noble initiative. Through this volunteer event, we connect and support the most important aspect of a country: education,” Israeli Ambassador Ilan Fluss said.

“We believe that we need to help one another to provide for the needs of the young generation to develop further their skills and knowledge that will impact the future of the country. Education is also so important in the Jewish ethos,” Fluss added.

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano thanked the embassy for supporting Brigada Eskwela 2023.
