MANILA Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso has approved the release of P34.6 million cast grant for students of the Unibersidad de Manila.

The amount covers the months of August, September, and October.

Under the city’s Social Amelioration Program, 11,537 UDM students will receive financial assistance.

The mayor said that each student will get P3,000.

Through Ordinance 8568 and 8564, the city’s Social Amelioration Program grants a monthly allowance of P1,000 for qualified students of the UDM and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and P500 for qualified senior high school students.

To qualify, the students must be residents and registered voters or children of registered voters in the city. They should also have good academic standing to be eligible for the monthly allowance.
