LUSOT na sa House Committees on Basic Education and Culture at Appropriations ang panukala para sa pagtatayo ng isa pang senior high school sa lungsod ng Quezon.

Sa Committee Report 593, inaprubahan ang House Bill 7993 bilang substitute bill sa House Bill 714 na iniakda ni Quezon City 6th District Rep. Jose Christopher Belmonte.

Sa kanyang explanatory note, sinabi ni Belmonte na layunin ng panukala na malunasan ang kakulangan ng high school sa ika-anim na district

“Currently, among the six congressional districts of Quezon City, the 6th District has the lest number of schools — 12 elementary and five secondary schools only. With the full implementation of the Senior High School program, District 6 is one of the three most challenged districts of the city,” pahayag ni Belmonte sa kanyang explanatory note.

Sa panukala, itatayo ang paaralan sa Barangay Talipapa at tatawaging Talipapa National High School.

Sa datos, ang Barangay Talipapa ang isa sa mga barangay sa distrito na walang public high school at ang mga estudyante sa lugar ay pumapasok sa paaralan sa ibang lugar na dagdag gastusin pa ang pamasahe at allowance.

Ang panukala ay inilatag na nina Committee on Basic Education and Culture chairman Roman Romulo at Committee on Appropriations Chairman Eric Go Yap sa plenaryo ng Kamara para sa plenary debates.
