NASA final stage na ang binabalangkas na implementing rules and regulations para sa Republic Act 11509 o ang Doktor Para sa Bayan Act.

Ito ang kinumpirma ni Commission on Higher Education Legal and Legislative Service Director, Atty. Frederick Mikhail Farolan sa pagdinig ng House Committee on Higher and Technical Education.

Sinabi ni Farolan na natapos na nila ang konsultasyon sa iba’t ibang organisasyon na makatutulong sa pagbuo ng IRR.

“Based on the information that I have, as far as Iknow, it has already went through consultations with the different stakeholders, schools and even associations of state medical students. So we have consulted the students, faculty members, higher education institutions as well in the preparation of the IRR,” pahayag ni Farolan.

“It was reported that the IRR is already in the final stage or it has already been submitted for approval,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.

Enero nang lagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte upang maging ganap na batas ang Doktor Para sa Bayan na naglalayong magbigay ng medical scholarship sa mga estudyanteng nais kumuha ng medisina.

Alinsunod din sa batas, tatargetin ng gobyerno na maglagay ng medical school sa bawat rehiyon sa bansa.
