HOUSE APPROVES DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN PUBLIC BASIC EDUCATION BILL
THE HOUSE of Representatives has approved a measure seeking to institutionalize digital technology in public basic education.
With 221-0 votes, the House of Representatives approved on third and final reading House Bill 10329 or the proposed Public Schools of the Future in Technology Act.
The measure aims to institutionalize a program for the integration of digital technology and innovation in public basic education.
It would likewise create the Public Schools of the Future in Technology Inter-Agency Task Force to develop the PSOFT Road Map.
At the same time, the House unanimously passed House Bill 10388 or the proposed Housing Development Digital Connectivity Act on third and final reading.
The measure will require all housing developments to set aside a portion of their designated open space for information and communication technology infrastructure and amenities.
