“Ang tinitingnan nating date, earliest first week of February maumpisahan natin ‘yung pagbabakuna ng ating 5 to 11,” Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje said.
“Hindi pa po tayo nagbabakuna ng 5 to 11, parating pa lang po ‘yung bakuna,” she added.
The government is waiting for the delivery of the Pfizer vaccine for the age group.
Health Undersecretary Eric Domingo said that the vaccine has a 90 percent efficacy rate among children aged 5 and up, with “very mild” adverse events.
The government aims to inoculate 13.5 million children aged 5 to 11.
