Globe Telecom and the Department of Education will hold a two-day webinar on safe and healthy online learning for the school year 2020-2021.

This as almost all activities have shifted to the internet amid the community quarantine measures im-posed by the government. These include the new normal online meetings, forums, shopping and clas-ses, among others.

With the DepEd’s blended learning and Learning Continuity Plan (LCP), it is important to keep parents, teachers and students abreast on cybersecurity measures as part of preparations for the opening of classes on August 24.

The online workshop titled: “Global Filipino Teacher Series: Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP)” will be held August 4 to 5, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the Facebook page of the Globe Bridging Communi-ties(https://www.facebook.com/GlobeBridgeCom/).

On day one of the webinar, panelists will be from DepEd, Globe and Unicef. Day two will tackle the “discernment and parent module.”

The series of workshops will focus on the responsibilities of students and teachers while using the online platform as well as measures on how to avoid online threats, abuses and cyber bullies.
