FILIPINO, AUSTRALIAN SOLDIERS FINISH KASANGGA MILITARY TRAINING
THE FIRST Scout Ranger Regiment and the 3rd Royal Australian Regiment concluded their two-month bilateral exercises in Camp Pablo Tecson in San Miguel, Bulacan on October 25, 2022.
FSRR Commander Brig. Gen. Freddie T. Dela Cruz and Col. Paul Robert Barta led the closing ceremony at the FSRR headquarters.
Dubbed as Kasangga 22-02, 440 participants trained side-by-side in urban combat operations and exchanged expertise in jungle operations, reconnaissance, mortar training, combat medic, drone operation and anti-armor training.
The exercises bolstered defense ties and strengthened interoperability between the two armies in urban and jungle operations.
Australian troops also underwent a training program in Filipino indigenous martial arts, Pekiti Tirsia Kali and Combat Tracking Training which helped sharpen their jungle operations skills.
Exercise Kasangga is an approved Philippine-Australian defense engagement for 2022.
