THE FAR Eastern University online learning platform was hit by technical problems today, making a number of subjects inaccessible.

The university said the problem is being resolved.

“Canvas courses are briefly unavailable. We are currently updating Canvas data, please bear with us,” it said in an advisory.

Canvas is the default learning management system of the university. It was designed to support and facilitate online education, and to allow teachers to communicate with their students amid distance learning. FEU has been using it since 2016.

Meanwhile, students were quick to react on social media.

“From CANvas to CANTvas real quick,” Teres Marie Fernando wrote.

“Baka auto pass na kaya nawala na ‘yung mga subject sa canvas,” Chelsea Diwa posted.

The university gave assurances that it will fix the technical problems as soon as possible.
