IGINIIT ng National Youth Commission ang pagtutol nito sa pagsasagawa ng limited face-to-face classes sa School Year 2021-2022.

Ayon kay NYC Commissioner Alexa Dayanghirang, delikado pa ang pagbubukas ng in-person classes lalo na sa sitwasyon na kinakaharap ng bansa.

“For now, given the current situation of the Philippines, it’s not really the time yet for face-to-face classes, especially for our younger generations,” pahayag niya.

Hindi naman sang-ayon si Kabataan Partylist Rep. Sarah Elago sa naging pahayag ni Dayanghirang.

“It would be a great disservice for the Filipino youth if the NYC will not support this clarion call of youth and students for the safe return of all education stakeholders to limited face-to-face learning,” sabi ni Elago.

“There are millions of in-school youth and those involved in alternative learning systems that are affected by the huge divide in digital capabilities,” dagdag pa niya.

Patuloy naman ang panawagan ng iba’t ibang grupo para sa ligtas na balik-eskwela.
