EDUCATION REFORMS AMONG PRIORITIES OF MARCOS ADMIN
EDUCATION reforms remain a key priority of the Marcos administration, with the President emphasizing that these initiatives form the foundation of Bagong Pilipinas, aiming to provide Filipinos with broader access to education and increased employment opportunities.
“Binibigyang-pansin natin ang isa pang haligi ng Bagong Pilipinas—ay napakahalaga po nito. Kaya’t inaayos po natin ang edukasyon,” President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said.
The President highlighted reforms under his administration, which include fine-tuning the K–12 curriculum, the rollout of the revised K–10 curriculum in school year 2023–2024, and ongoing efforts to enhance Senior High School education.
About 15,000 additional classrooms are set to be constructed in partnership with the private sector. These will be equipped with electricity, internet access, and modern learning tools to support quality education.
The Chief Executive also stressed the importance of supporting teachers, particularly in terms of improved benefits, clearer career paths, and a 30-day uninterrupted summer break.
“Binibigyan sila ng mas maayos na benepisyo, mas malinaw na career path, at mas mahabang pahinga,” the President added.
