DOH HINIMOK NA UMORDER NA NG BAKUNA PARA SA MGA BATA
HINIKAYAT ni Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon ang Department of Health na ngayon pa lamang ay umorder na ng Covid19 vaccines para sa mga bata.
Ito, ayon sa senador, ay upang maiwasan na maging problema muli ng bansa ang kakapusan ng suplay ng bakuna.
Ginawa ni Drilon ang kahilingan makaraang pumalo sa mahigit 14,000 ang kaso ng Covid19 at marami nang bata ang tinatamaan ng virus.
“There is talk for booster shots or for the kids to be inoculated. I call on the DOH to plan now, because it takes time between the order is placed, and the time it is delivered to us,” pahayag ni Drilon.
“At the rate we are going, we should place our orders for these additional vaccines so that we will have it by first quarter or second quarter of next year. Otherwise, we will be scrambling for supplies, and this it is a matter of life and death,” dagdag ng senador.
Una nang sinabi ni Food and Drug Administration Director General Eric Domingo na kung isasama na sa vaccination program ang mga bata, nangangahulugan ito ng dagdag na 12 milyon hanggang 14 na milyong taong dapat bakunahan.
“There needs to be urgency in the way the DOH is managing our pandemic responses,” giit pa ni Drilon.
“The Commission on Audit itself said there is dismal inefficiency, lack of urgency, poor management and lack of leadership on DOH,” paalala pa ng mambabatas.
