DILG CHIEF REMULLA ADMITS MISTAKE IN LATE CLASS AND WORK SUSPENSION ANNOUNCEMENT
DEPARTMENT of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla on Monday acknowledged his mistake in the delayed announcement of class and government work suspensions earlier in the day.
Remulla explained that the initial weather forecast only indicated rains in the Southern Philippines, Central Visayas, and the Bicol Region. However, a sudden change in weather prompted a later-than-expected announcement.
“Bigla na lang mga 3 a.m., nag-iba ang mga outlook. Eh nagising ako mga 6 a.m. na eh. Kaya dun ko lang in-announce ‘yung suspension ng classes,” Remulla said.
“I take responsibility that I didn’t get the information on time kasi it’s very early in the morning,” he added.
Despite the delay, the DILG chief said he has no plans to change his style of posting updates through the agencyβs official Facebook page.
Remulla announced the class and work suspensions in various areas on Monday around 6:00 a.m.
