THE DEPARTMENT of Education welcomed the new officials of the Bureau of Learning Resources and the Teacher Education Council.

Ariz Delson Acay Cawilan took his oath as BLR Director IV before Education Secretary Leonor Briones earlier this month while Dr. Archie Resos and Dr. Annabel Casumpa were sworn in as members of the TEC.

“By taking in new people, we are recognizing professionals, we are bringing in new people to contribute to the work of education, not just the Department of Education but the other two institutions as well,” Briones said.

Meanwhile, DepEd Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio said that the department is thankful for the young officials who joined their team.

He mentioned that more individuals will be needed in the department’s fight to ensure that learning resources are available amid the pandemic.

TEC Director Runvi Manguerra welcomed the new members.

“I am pleased to welcome the new members of the council, we will work hand-in-hand with our division in the Teacher Education Council,” Manguerra said.

“We wish you the best of luck and we hope you enjoy your journey with us,” he added.
