THE DEPARTMENT of Education has warned the public against posts circulating online about scholarships, saying that it was fake.

DepEd said that these posts are illegally using the DepEd seal and the photo of the Vice President and Secretary of Education Sara Duterte-Carpio to scam people.

According to the fake post circulating online, students may apply for scholarships in which elementary students will receive P5,000; for high school students P7,000; for college and vocational students P10,000.

The agency advised parents and guardians not to give out their children’s school information for their security.

DepEd also reminded the public to stay vigilant against misinformation.
