THE Department of Education will start the pilot implementation of the revised K to 10 curriculum in selected schools on Monday.

The new curriculum will be tested in 35 schools.

The Department picked five schools each in seven regions to pilot test the curriculum for Kinder and Grades 1, 4 and 7.

The DepEd said it has completed the training of teachers who will handle the classes. School personnel and other staff who will be part of the implementation, monitoring and assessment of the “Matatag Curriculum” also underwent orientation.

“Lesson exemplars and learning activity sheets will be utilized including all readily available learning resources mapped and aligned with the competencies of the revised curriculum,” it said.

For School Year 2024-2025, changes in the curriculum will be implemented in Kinder, Grades 1, 4 and 7, to be followed by Grades 2, 5 and 8 the following year.

Grades 3, 6, and 9 will have curriculum changes in 2026 to be followed by Grade 10 in 2027.
