THE Department of Education announced that it will celebrate National Students’ Day on November 17, 2023, in accordance with Republic Act 11369 or the “National Students’ Day Act.”

This year, it carries a theme “Pilipinong Mag-aaral: Huwaran ng Kagitingan, may MATATAG na Paninindigan.”

The National Students’ Day is a yearly event which aims to cultivate love of country and social responsibility and commemorate the bravery of learners worldwide.

“This celebration will harness the diversity and uniqueness of our learners, providing them with a platform to actively pursue their interests. Regardless of background, every learner is recognized, valued, and celebrated,” DepEd said.

The event will be made live on DepEd’s official Facebook page from 9 am to 12 noon.

DepEd said that the event became possible due to the efforts made by the Office of the Undersecretary for Operations, through the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Operations and Bureau of Learner Support Services—Learner Formation Division, in collaboration with the National Youth Commission, Local Government of Davao del Sur, DepEd Davao Region, Schools Division Office of Davao del Sur, and the National Federation of Supreme Secondary Learner Government.
