THE Department of Education remains as the most trusted agency with 82 percent trust rating, based on the results of an OCTA Research survey conducted in the first quarter of 2024.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, DepEd was also the most trusted government agency.

Meanwhile, 84 percent of Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of the Education Department.

“Adult Filipinos who trust the Department of Education are highest in Mindanao (94 percent) and lowest in Metro Manila (74 percent),” OCTA group said.

The Department of Health came in second with 80 percent performance rating and 79 percent trust rating. It was followed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development with 77 percent performance rating and 79 percent trust rating; Commission on Higher Education with 73 percent performance rating and trust rating; and Department of Public Works and Highways with 72 percent performance rating and 71 percent trust rating.

The survey, which had 1,200 respondents nationwide, was conducted from March 11 to 14.
