DEPED PROBES SCHOOLS REQUIRING STUDENTS TO SHOW UP FOR GRADUATION PICTORIAL
THE DEPARTMENT of Education will look into reports that some private institutions in Tondo, Manila required their students to report to school to have their graduation photos taken, Malacañang said.
“Ito po’y ipinarating na namin sa Department of Education at sila po ay mag-iimbestiga na,” Palace Spokesman Harry Roque said.
The parents of the learners expressed fear that their children would be exposed to Covid19 if they will go to school.
They also asked if the schools have coordinated with DepEd and the Inter-Agency Task Force.
Roque said children below 15 years old are still not allowed to go out of their homes.
“Pero hayaan na po nating gumalaw ang Department of Education at hintayin na lang po natin kung ano magiging desisyon ng Department of Education dahil nga po the Inter-Agency Task Force policy is 12-year-olds must still stay home,” he said.
