DEPED PARTNERS WITH NESTLÉ PHILIPPINES TO PROMOTE HEALTHY HABITS THROUGH NUTRITION EDUCATION

/ 1 February 2025

IN an effort to promote healthier lifestyles, the Department of Education has partnered with Nestlé Philippines to support the Nestlé Wellness Campus Program at Taguig Integrated School.

“The partnership between DepEd and Nestlé is more than just a contract; it’s a commitment to the future of our students. Together, we aim to nurture champions—in sports, academics, and life,” said Education Secretary Sonny Angara.

Angara was joined by Nestlé S.A. CEO Laurent Freixe, Nestlé Philippines Chairman and CEO Kais Marzouki, and other key officials during the event.

The Nestlé Wellness Campus Program, established in 2013, focuses on educating children and families about healthier food choices and lifestyle habits. It is implemented across various regions in the Philippines and includes educational modules for students from Grades 1 to 10. These modules cover nutrition, physical activity, and food label reading.

The program also includes physical activities like the Wellness Song and Dance, designed to promote fitness among students, parents, and teachers.
