DEPED LESSON BACKGROUND TICKLES MOBILE GAME FANS
AN ONLINE lesson uploaded by the Department of Education has caught the attention of fans of a Japanese mobile game because of the image used as its background.
The video used for a Grade 8 lesson in Araling Panlipunan that centered on geography had for its background images taken from the Japanese mobile rhythm game “Love Live! School Idol Festival”.
Screenshots of the lesson were posted on Facebook over the weekend, triggering a wave of comments.
“Totoo pala ito wtf”, “IT’S REAL OMG LMFAO”, “DepEd LL fan confirmed”, were some of the responses posted online.
‘Love Live! School Idol Festival’ is a mobile rhythm game that features multiple characters called ‘school idols’ which can be obtained through a random number generator system by either playing the game or spending real-world money.
Recently, the DepEd was criticized for an erroneous Math equation in one of its online lessons. The department apologized for the error.
