DEPED ISSUES GUIDELINES ON EVALUATION OF SELF-LEARNING MODULES
THE DEPARTMENT of Education has released the guidelines on the evaluation of self-learning modules for School Year 2020-2021.
Education Secretary Leonor Briones issued the guidelines to ensure the quality of SLMs used in modular distance learning.
The guidelines aim to establish a systematic evaluation process for the procurement of SLMs.
These SLMs are developed primarily for the use of learners outside the classroom setting.
The department said that SLMs should be evaluated to check their conformance to the quality standards for learning resources. Content, language, layout, and design will be checked for compliance.
SLMs developed by private and public entities will be evaluated by the DepEd’s central office.
